This big house is located above Lagårdsveien. As you can see near the window, there is a sign 'Til Salgs' which means for sale. Anybody needs a grand home?

Lonely Bench

In days like this, wet and cold, nobody feels tempted to sit on this bench. So, for many days to come the bench will be there waiting for people to give it company.

IMI Kirken

The IMI Church is located beside the Rica Hotel. It is quite an active church with many members.

Hello There!

I saw this seagull looking at me, as if it was saying "hello there". I said hello there back, took the picture and it flew away.

Bench with Music

Near the modern art museum, close to Mosvatnet lake, this bench is located. It is part of an art experiment where you can plug in your headphone to the bench and be exposed to new sounds.

As you can see on the arm rests there are solar power battery charger for the built in music player.

Toppled Tree

Along the path around Mosvatnet lake we saw this old tree that has been blown down recently. Now this tree will rot and give nutrition to the surrounding trees.

Gloomy Day in Mosvatnet

We went to Mosvatnet for a walk this morning. It was gloomy and cold but the trees and grass look like something out of fairy tale.

Renovating

Remember this? Now they are SLOWLY renovating this house. They have dug out the basement, started to make a new roof and are working on the inside. I will post it again when it is finished.

Street Series # 26

Here is the street next to Nylund Skole. On August I'm walking pass here with my daughter every day, she starts school by then.

Shoe Polish

Conoco has a machine for polishing your shoes in the basement, and as you see, you can buy a chocolate and polish your shoes and walk happily back to your desk.

Inside the Bus

This is inside one of the buses, and as you see they are very comfortable. This service gives also people a chance to sosialize and get to know people from other departments.

Company Bus

Conoco provides buses for the Tananger office employers. There are nine buses going to all areas in Stavanger and outside. Lately this service is shared by some other companies located in the neighborhood. This is a fantastic service and makes the company quite "green" in this respect.

I think this song was very fitting on this day. Here in Stavanger everyday is a little brighter now and today I am happy having birthday and look forward to party tomorrow. I have got a nice watch from my hubby and life is good.

In Madla there are two shops side by side. Pizza Huset and Kirstin and Benthes Klær. So the man go and have a piece of pizza and the woman go and buy herself a new dress.

Ital Møbler

Ital Møbler is a furniture shop located in Hillevågveien 103. It has sold Italian furnitures for 20 years. The shop has a lot of classic furnitures from Northern Italy and I must say I felt in love with many pieces. As my two pictures here are something for many tastes and likes. Right now they have a sale so I suggest that you pay them a visit.

A well stocked shop for sportwear and sport-equipment also in Madlakrossen.

A foot therapy in Madlakrossen to care for your feet. Healthy feet is what we should aim for and if you can not care for them yourself, this is a place to visit.

DP Theme Day - Best Photo of the Year 2008

This is my choice for the best photo of the year. I look at this and long for spring. Today it is such wintery and dark time here in Norway and this picture shows me what will come in four months time. Also I like the color and symbolic meaning in the picture.

Plus my husband also like it the best :)
